Homemade cinnamon rolls from a 100-year-old dude ranch in the Snowy Range… yum!

We discovered these amazing cinnamon rolls in the wilds of Wyoming. They are perfect for colder weather, early mornings and holiday occasions! After a day in the saddle, you need good eats and that’s exactly what we got at Medicine Bow Lodge, a 100-year-old dude ranch in the Medicine Bow National Forest in Wyoming. Right beside the start of the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, at this ranch, which has been welcoming guests since 1917, owners Tim and Debbie Bishop serve up homemade, hearty fare.

On our visit to film for “Travels with Darley: Wyoming National Forests,” debuting in season three of our series on PBS, we rode along endless trails through beautiful forests and enjoyed time at the historic lodge, located alongside Barrett Creek, which runs into the North Platte River. Debbie agreed to let go of her recipe for one of our favorite ranch treats, cinnamon rolls, so we hope you enjoy them, too!
