Darley Newman filmed inside the Graffiti House in Virginia, a historic Civil War hospital.

The American Battlefield Trust interviews Darley about her feature on the Brandy Station battlefield in Culpeper, Virginia, showcased in the new season six of the series on PBS. Darley chose a unique way to explore this battlefield where the Battle of Brandy Station, the largest cavalry battle ever fought on North American soil, was fought on horseback. The American Battlefield Trust seeks to preserve hallowed battlegrounds and educate the public about what happened at these historic sites. The organization is best known for its high-profile battlefield preservation efforts, including Antietam battlefield, the site of George Washington’s famous charge at Princeton and Robert E.
