Ti’ Punch Recipe from Martinique

Ti Punch Recipe Rhum Clement

I recently had the opportunity to reunite with for a rum tasting with Ben Jones, an expert on Caribbean Rhum Agricole, on Instagram–– a perfect pandemic activity! We thought we’d invite you to raise a glass with us with this easy-to-make recipe for Ti’ Punch that Ben is sharing from Martinique!

If you don’t have rum on hand, Jones’ Rhum Clement brand is running a speedy shipping service during this time of #stayinghome, so take advantage and stock up! Ben will be chatting about the roots of Ti’ Punch, Rhum Agricole, Martinique travel and more.

Ti Punch in Martinique from Rhum Clement.

Jones’ family has owned a rum distillery in Martinique since 1887, and it’s one that we were able to tour and film while in Martinique. Habitation Clément is the birthplace of Rhum Agricole and carries the culture of an ancient Créole sugarcane plantation. Jones will be sharing tips on tasting and the history of the rhum agricole that he brought to the North American market over fifteen years ago– specifically the Rhum Clement and Rhum J.M brands.

If you’re traveling to Martinique, you can visit Habitation Clément, and you can also take a virtual tour through our Martinique Caribbean Culture episode of Travels with Darley on Amazon Prime and PBS stations.
