Following the success of Seasons One and Two of the “Travels with Darley” podcast, host Darley Newman is traveling around the world, recording a new season of this podcast and filming for her long-standing PBS TV series of the same name. With the help of local experts, Darley brings wondrous history, culture, art, and food from her travels right to your doorstep.

First stop: Detroit! From taking in the Art-Deco architecture of the stunning Guardian Building to exploring Detroit’s vivid art scene, and listening to jazz in an authentic 1920s club, there is lots of beauty to admire in this city. For food, Darley tastes Detroit-style pizza, giving this New Yorker a new perspective on the dish. Darley also visits local businesses to learn how they are creating change in their communities. Then it’s off to Ellijay, Georgia for a mountain getaway! Being in Georgia’s apple capital, Darley discusses all things fall. From apple picking to trying apple liqueurs, wines, and farm-to-table meals, Darley highlights sustainable practices along the way. Don’t forget to look out for Bigfoot  when Darley takes you through Expedition: Bigfoot! The Sasquatch Museum, filled with reports of sightings, exhibitions, and life-size models of the infamous creature.
