Ten Thousand Waves… a Japanese Spa in Santa Fe? How does this Japanese experience fit Santa Fe so well!

Modeled after a traditional Japanese onsen, natural hot springs bathing houses, Ten Thousand Waves in Santa Fe offers Japanese Shiatsu massages, hot tubs for soaking and even rooms for guests to stay for the night, but this Asian inspired spa is not located in Japan. It’s just outside of downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico and alongside the Santa Fe National Forest.

Not only can you enjoy a great spa experience here, but you can also enjoy great food and sake at their onsite restaurant, Izanami. They have an extensive sake menu and indoor and outdoor dining overlooking serene rolling forests.

Watch this clip from our show “Travels with Darley” to learn all things sake and the spa at Ten Thousand Waves with my local guide Kaz.
